Costs for new international students (freshman and transfer)

These amounts represent fees in effect autumn 2009 through summer 2010 for most programs, but they are subject to change without notice. In 2010—2011 and beyond, students should plan for 5 to 10% annual increases for all costs.

Please note: Costs vary by academic program; costs listed are for an academic year (three quarters/nine months).

* Tuition and fees may vary by major, college, and area of study. The university reserves the right to assess fees for special services and programs applicable to students.

** Health insurance is mandatory for international students and each family member living in the United States. Government-sponsored students with health insurance are exempt from this requirement but must receive a waiver from the Wilce Student Health Center.

*** Average room rate with basic dining plan. Ohio State offers a number of room and board options which range in cost from
$7,785–$10,875 (this range does not include scholarship housing, which costs less).
