Admission criteria
Ohio State has a competitive admission process in which transfer applicants are evaluated based mainly on academic performance. If you have earned one to 44 quarter hours (one to 29 semester hours), your performance in both college and high school will be considered. more >

Will my credit transfer to Ohio State?
If you attended an institution in the United States, visit u.select for details about the transferability of course credit. If you attended an international institution, transfer credit is generally awarded for non-technical, non-remedial courses in which a grade of C- or higher is earned. Transfer credit FAQs >
The quarter system
The Ohio State University is on the quarter system, which means there are four academic terms per year. Each quarter is made up of 10 weeks of classes plus four days of final examinations, and there is a break between each quarter. Undergraduate students typically do not enroll for summer quarter.
- Autumn quarter: September — December
- Winter quarter: January — March
- Spring quarter: March — June
- Summer quarter: June — August
